As you know from my last blogs, one of the things that I have really been asking the Lord about is what I am supposed to be doing. I've known that I am supposed to stay at AIM and work with The World Race, but I didn't know how or why.
This last week we had training camp for the October 2009 World Racers. Just like every other camp, this one was different ;-) It was a bit smaller than our last, with only 47 Racers. We were blessed in having all of the World Race staff, lots of World Race alumni, and many others who came to serve or to teach. This group went a lot deeper a lot faster than any other group we've had. They very quickly learned and understood that God speaks, and that the Holy Spirit is very active today.
Early on in camp during a time of worship the Lord clearly spoke to me why I am here, and why I am with the Race – it's about replicating myself. Here I am taking the best qualities and giftings that I have and giving them to another 40+ people! As the week went on during each evening of worship God would have me praying over some of the staff. Do I minister to the participants, absolutely. But I am finding that more of my time and effort is being poured into the staff so that they can then pour into the participants.
