Answering Questions

Here are the top questions that I’ve been asked recently:

What’s next?

            I
want to spend a month in Thailand meeting up with several different
missionaries and organizations to see if any of them would be a good fit for me
to work with long term. Then I’ll return back to the States to raise enough
funds to potentially move to Thailand.

Are you leaving Adventures In Missions?

            Not
yet. For now I’ll continue to be under Adventures In Missions.

Why Thailand and not Africa?

            Honestly,
this is a God thing. A piece of my heart will always be towards Africa. At the
moment the Lord has specifically been speaking to me about Thailand and given me a
huge heart for the nation, so I want to pursue it more.

Where will you be in Thailand?

            I’m
going to be visiting Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai on my first visit.
Where I will end up long term is still unknown.

What ministry do you want to do in Thailand?

            I
am still praying into this. I want to be somewhere that I can do a variety of
different forms of ministry – working with children, in villages, with widows, on
the streets, etc. My hope is that after my visit I’ll be able to have a more
definitive answer.

The purpose of going over to Thailand for a month is to get
more answers to these questions. I want to be able to give you stories of the
things I will do, show you pictures of the people I will be working with, the
markets I will shop at, and the faces of the people we will be
ministering to. This isn’t just about me. I want you to feel like you are going
with me to Thailand.

Currently I have enough money in my support account to cover
my airfare to Thailand, but it’s not enough to cover all of my ground costs or
the goal of possibly moving to Thailand. I’d love to have an additional $1,000
in my support account by the end of January
. Would you be willing to help me
reach that goal? Click here to make a donation by credit card or for information to mail a
check.

Please also continue to pray – that I’ll be in
Thailand at the right time, that I’ll have wisdom and discernment, pray against
doubts and fear, for finances, and that the Lord will begin to prepare things
in Thailand even now.

  1. It is our honor and priviledge to partner with you in Thailand. We know God has amazing things planned for you in 2011 . it’s like feeling snow in the air hours before the clouds arrive . and when it comes, you can be excited and enjoy it because you’re prepared. God has spent years getting you ready for 2011.

  2. Hey you, good to know more about God`s plans for your future. I only knew you were visiting Thailand. I`m sure you`ll love it just like you love Africa.

  3. excited for you Casey! Praying for this year and for the finances to be there! May God make it clear where He would have you this next season! Love ya!

  4. We have friends in Chang Rai that my daughter Betsie will be going over to work with for 2 months starting the middle of April. They are with NORTHERN THAILAND IMPACT MINISTRIES. I’ll actually get t he chance to go as well her last week there. I’ll fly over, spend a week doing some ministry plus touristy stuff and meeting all her new friends before accompanying her back. I’d love to see any photos you take or hear more details.

Looking forward to hearing where God takes you next,
    Elysa
