Here’s the ‘short’ version of where I come from…

I grew up in southern California until I was 15, when my family moved to Seattle, Washington. We were your typical single parent Christian household. During a short-term mission trip in high school, I heard God call me to overseas missions.

So I decided to do just that. After high school I joined YWAMPursuitsNZ (Youth With A Mission) in New Zealand. I did their basic training school, and then was on staff with them for two and a half years. It was some of the most challenging, stretching and best times of my life!

After another short trip at home helping with a church plant, I joined the very first World Race trip with Adventures In Missions. 11 countries in 11 months, doing ministry in each – yep, it’s as crazy and awesome as it sounds. You can check out my old blog or see what the current teams are up to.

Next I spent six months in Swaziland, Africa under AIM. I was personal assistant to one of the head guys and helped start a major project for AIM. The goal was to help in a part of the country that was forgotten by most. Today there are over 600 children who are fed and looked after five days a week!

Although I had a good time in Swazi, the Lord called me back to the States the end of 2007. I worked in the AIM head office in Gainesville, GA, doing set up and logistics for the World Race. I was surrounded by my favorite people, helping make a program that I believe in run on a daily basis. As much as I loved life in the office, it was time to move on at the end of 2010.

In March 2011, I went to Thailand and well God spoke again. Mae Sot, Thailand is where I’ll be until God tells me it’s time to leave. I’ll be sent under AIM, and doing ministry with Outpour Movement. The goal is to spend time in the community, open a Drop in Center, and whatever else the Lord calls us to do.
