My Whirlwind

October felt like a whirlwind! On
top of my normal job at AIM…

We had another training camp for
World Race! My mom came in to oversee the kitchen, and with such a huge group I
spent everyday in the kitchen with her. We served over 5,250 plates of food!

I was even able to fly in my
sister, Krista! Mom hadn’t seen her in two years, and it had been a year since
I had seen her making it extra special that she was there.

The last few days of October was
The Stirred Conference at AIM. We had Jonathan David Helser and his band come
to lead worship, and a few men from AIM taught. I had the honor of being asked
to take photos during the conference, which was a lot of fun. It was a
wonderful way to wrap up October.

In-between training camp and Stirred
my Grandma Lorie was taken to the hospital. Things went from ok to bad really
quickly. On Thursday night, just after the first night of the conference, she
passed away. She died surrounded by family singing silly songs she had taught all of us as kids. I
spent a lot of my childhood with my grandma; she was one of my favorite people
and will be tremendously missed.

My other grandma has been losing
the battle to cancer. The family is just waiting for the call that she has gone
to be with the Lord. She too will be greatly missed.

That was my October. I still
haven’t fully processed it all or caught up on rest yet. . . but in the midst
of the whirlwind God has allowed me to enjoy and embrace ever moment.
